Dallas’s Lauren Abeyta recognized as 1 of 20 “Women in Technology” for Artificial Intelligence in eDiscovery Process

DALLAS, TX (March 25, 2025) – Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Construction Discovery Experts Lauren Abeyta has joined a select group of technology visionaries as an honoree of the 2025 Dallas Business Journal’s Women in Technology. Selected for her use of artificial intelligence to refine performance in the legal technology industry, Abeyta represents the only eDiscovery-focused firm among the 2025 honorees. She will be honored at the Omni Hotel on May 15, 2025.
The honor comes on the fifth anniversary of Construction Discovery Experts, founded at the height of COVID to meet the niche eDiscovery needs of the construction industry. Using 20+ years’ experience in legal technology and IT infrastructure, Abeyta developed the eDiscovery firm alongside her Co-Founder and current CEO Brett Lamb to feature inimitable “concierge-level” service, supplying and managing legal technology software to produce cost-efficient, case-winning results for clients in litigation.
Abeyta describes eDiscovery as the painful, expensive and confusing process of every legal case which gathers and evaluates hundreds of thousands of electronic documents. It is not taught in law school, and attorneys and in-house counsel often opt to outsource the service.

Abeyta is credited with refining and uniquely leveraging a generative AI tool specific to the construction industry that identifies critical documents (or “golden ticket documents”) that have significant bearings on cases and save clients up to seven figures in the process. She has also equipped more than 1,200 attorneys across the country with ethical guidelines for using AI in lawsuits.
Additionally, Abeyta champions gold standards in business operations by offering proactive internal investigations and compliance programs. She assisted with the deployment of emotional intelligence technology that analyzes company communications for tone, sentiment and inappropriate behavior, which she dissects and presents with recommendations for improvement to leadership.
Beyond her professional achievements, Abeyta created Women's Legal Forum, an annual event that has provided more than 200 female technology professionals with legal education and connection opportunities. She maintains a fierce dedication to investing in young female talent, currently boasting a team that features more than 60% women.
